been noticing some trends in mens fashion. the jeans being a little more snug..not so baggy, jeans being worn with dress shoes...im feeling that look on men i think it's sexy, you dont have to be a male model to look good.. i love it when you men wear a button down dress shirt with jeans..that just looks sooo nice on any man...now dont get me wrong i am enticed when i see dudes wearing some jordans with a fly tee preferably 'Uneek' lol...bottom line is it doesn't matter what you Rock as long as it is your style...and you feel good wearing it! .....Letperez

An Open Letter to the Past, in regards to the future.

The Ascent starts now…

1. An act of ascending; upward movement; a rising movement: the ascent of a balloon. 2. Movement upward from a lower to a higher state, degree, or grade.

Every time I sit buckled on board an airplane just prior to take off, the same feeling has overwhelmed me and for many years it’s puzzled me. It’s an overwhelming feeling that resonates through out my body like an electric charge. It’s something I feel so deep that it’s almost hard to express in mere words. It seems comparable to a combination of anxiety and anxious energy. I’ve often related it to a fear of flying or the fear of something. Being that I board airplanes frequently I would have to rule that assessment out. I’ve also reasoned that maybe it’s just the anxiety of wanting to be at my next destination. The fact is that the places I go are places that I travel to often. What makes this entire scenario even stranger is what happens after that initial feeling of anxiety.

As the plane begins to build speed and starts its ascent into the sky, there is a drastic change in my emotion with in. The plane reaches the clouds and the nose of the plane is clearly pointed upward. The only thing you can see is what’s behind you and what you’re leaving behind. For me with this comes the sudden flash of thoughts racing through my mind at light speeds. I often see every good and bad thing that has happen to me from that point and as far back as I can remember. Although it’s never happen to me, I can semi-relate to the person who says his life flashed before his eyes prior to a near death experience. (The mind is such a complicated machine, so dynamic and intricate. The smallest glimpse of something can be remembered and submitted to a sub conscious memory possibly being recalled in dreams and sometimes even nightmares.)

Well, within seconds the plane has risen above the clouds and you’re amongst a sea of white. I’ve often tried to understand the feeling when you’re amongst the clouds. If you’ve ever flown before then you can relate to it. Maybe it’s because of all the movies and TV brainwashing of living in heaven or being with GOD in the clouds. The heavens are compared to the clouds in the bible. If you’re a bible reader like me then you understand the relationship here. If you aren’t you should become one to understand this blog a little more deeply. What exactly is it about the ascent from the ground to above the clouds that brings such peace of mind physically and mentally? Maybe it’s a symbol of leaving your past in the past. Maybe its understanding that your past is simply stepping stones, educational tools and learning experiences to achieve a better future until we reach those symbolic clouds. Maybe it’s an elevation of conscious thought. Maybe it’s putting faith in trusting what your past has taught you that brings the feeling of tranquility. I believe this to be quite profound.

The plane slowly begins to level out as it reaches its cruising altitude. The view from my window is clear in front of me. Are you brave enough to trust yourself? Am I brave enough to trust that I’ve learned from my past and I am ready to embrace my future and what it holds for me? Can it be said if one truly embraces his future then it’s no need to constantly look back on the past. The past is filled with a lot of great memories but a lot of bad ones. But even with the good ones, if we were to linger on those to much do we hinder the opportunity for new ones to be created? In so many different aspects of life, we are merely trying to start an ascent of some form or fashion. Religion, education, career, sports, parenting, relationships, we are trying to achieve a higher level. You have to fail in order to understand what it means to succeed. You can’t start any ascent until you are at least moving forward.

I recognize my past. I have learned from it. I now trust myself and what it has taught me. I am no longer puzzled. No need for plane rides to experience this feeling anymore. Now……I understand.

Uneek trend topic

Looking back at the last year in fashion i found the skinny jean to be one trendy look, i have seen everyone wearing them from men to teens to many stars and myself to mention, at first i swore i would not wear them but the trend grew on me lol...anyway i believe the look is here to stay you can dress them up with heals and a dressy top or like men wear them with high top or low top shoes dressed down and sporty or dressed casual. Now let me say this i don't think that the skinny jean is for everyone...some people just dont look good in them ,if you dont feel good wearing them then you probably shouldn't....let's keep our eye on this trend and see where it goes....letperez

Embrace Your Foundation and understand your fashion.

Our lifestyle is based on our foundation. Our foundation is based on our up bringing. Our upbringing is what is instilled in us as children. People want to just think of fashion as clothing. Is that all that fashion is? To me, fashion is so much more. Its so many aspects of life expressed an articles of clothing that send small little messages. Music,sports,culture,history,animals,passions, and just everyday experiences play a roll. An outfit can send a message with you ever opening your mouth. Thousands of conclusions can be made from what a person is wearing. Although this may be right or wrong it happens and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Your fashion is who you are whether you care to admit or not. And its so much more than the clothes. A plain white t-shirt and nice white shoes can be very fashionable if put together right. At the same time an extremely expensive dress could demonstrate very little style. Body shape plays a part, sizes of clothes, accessories, and so much more play there part. Which brings me back to my opening remarks which is that style is based on your foundation. Embracing your foundation automatically gives a person his own UNEEK style. Fashion is a persons style confidently embraced. And demonstrated in an organized manner consistently over a long period of time. Unifying Nationalities by Encouraging Education & Knowledge is a message that we've embraced to our core from a very early age and it is who we are. Its in our DNA. Its comes through in everything we do. Genuine good hearted people break through barriers of all kinds. Your foundation is who you are. Your foundation is your fashion. Put that in a bottle and hold on it. Embrace your foundation because it make you "UNEEK".

Who are you?

Have you ever put thought into how the brain and the heart are connected? The physical aspects that tie your emotions in with the rest of your body. I'm sure there are scientist out there who could explain this through some type of diagram, but it will always be amazing to me.

I often wonder how your thoughts can literally send pain through your heart. If a love is lost its almost physically painful. When you find love it literally makes your body feel like its floating on clouds. What about when you understand something on a deeper level. Can that move you?

Yesterday I felt no emotions about what a brand new year and a brand new decade meant to me. Today I woke up fully inspired and motivated about what we could be saying at the end of this decade. The inspiring aspect of it is how REAL it truly feels. Which for me is totally going against the grain because I don't really care how much I deeply feel something. I'm actually so realistic with everything that even if I do feel it, I won't on it because nothing is for certain until it actually happen. I learned that lesson over and over again at a young age. And in one instant things could be change for the good or for the bad. So this deep deep feeling that I feel in my soul is something precious to me and I ask myself, why?

Today I understand more about myself and about our company then ever before. Money does not equal success. Money does not make it all real. It feels real to me because it is real. I've decided to be UNEEK. No scientist are needed to explain this feeling. I've decided to be cool based on being different. I've decided to love everybody because I want to and thats all that matters. I've decided that race, money, or status doesn't define who I associate with. I've decided to ask questions not to offend, but to educate myself and understand. I've decided that I will bombard the planet with positivity. I've decided that I AM UNEEK! Who are you?
